What’s For Dinner? Shakshuka

Ingredients

  • Mina Shakshuka Sauce
  • NestFresh Pasture Raised Eggs
  • MT Vikos Feta Cheese
  • Heinen’s Plain Pita

Instructions

  1. Place the shakshuka sauce in a pan and gently warm over medium heat.
  2. Turn the heat down to low and crack the eggs onto the sauce. Cover the pan with a lid and gently cook until the egg whites are set and the yolks are still runny.
  3. Top with crumbled feta.
  4. Garnish with parsley or green onion, if desired.
  5. Serve the pita on the side for dipping.

In 1929, Joe Heinen opened the doors of a small butcher shop on the east side of Cleveland, Ohio, aiming to establish himself as the city’s purveyor of quality meats. As customers came into Heinen’s new shop for their meat purchases, they began asking him to carry groceries as well. Joe added homemade peanut butter, pickles and donuts and by 1933, business had grown enough to include a line of produce and canned goods. Heinen’s Grocery Store was born.
