Ingredients

For the Orange Glazed Angel Food Cake

  • 1 Tbsp. Heinen’s unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 ½ cups Heinen’s powdered sugar
  • ¼ cup Heinen’s fresh squeezed orange juice
  • Grated orange zest and/or splash of vanilla extract, optional
  • Heinen’s angel food cake

For the Slow Cooker Citrus BBQ Ribs

  • Slow Cooker Citrus BBQ Ribs
  • Two Brothers sweet & smokey seasoning
  • ½ cup Heinen’s fresh squeezed orange juice
  • 1 cup Heinen’s BBQ sauce

For the Mango Orange Creamsicle Smoothie

  • 1 ½ cups Heinen’s frozen mango
  • ¾ cup Heinen’s fresh squeezed orange juice
  • ¾ cup plain Greek yogurt
  • ¼ tsp. vanilla extract
  • Heinen’s organic raw honey, optional

Instructions

Orange Glazed Angel Food Cake

  1. Whisk together the melted butter, powdered sugar and orange juice. For a thicker glaze, add more powdered sugar. For a thinner glaze, add more juice. Stir in the optional grated zest and/or vanilla extract.
  2. Arrange the angel food cake on a plate or cake stand. Drizzle with the glaze.

Slow Cooker Citrus BBQ Ribs

  1. Spray the inside of a slow cooker with oil or nonstick cooking spray.
  2. Cut the ribs in half. Season generously on all sides with the rub.
  3. Whisk together the orange juice and BBQ sauce.
  4. Place half of the ribs in the bottom of the slow cooker and top with half of the orange juice-BBQ mixture. Set the remaining ribs on top, followed by the remaining orange juice BBQ mixture.
    Cook on high for 4 hours or low for 8 hours.
  5. Preheat the broiler. Remove the ribs from the slow cooker and arrange in a single layer on a foil-lined rimmed baking sheet. Broil for a few minutes (watching closely so they don’t burn), until the tops are a little
  6. crispy. Brush with the remaining sauce from the slow cooker. Serve with extra sauce.

Mango Orange Creamsicle Smoothie

  1. Combine the mango, orange juice, yogurt and vanilla extract in a blender and blend until smooth. For a sweeter smoothie, add honey to taste.
