Look no further than Heinen’s Prepared Foods Department for a wide assortment of chef-prepared foods you can enjoy at home. Pair a prepared entree with a couple prepared sides to build a complete meal or combine a main protein with a few of Heinen’s high-quality grocery and freezer staples to minimize prep in the kitchen.

Heinen’s cooked Chicken Romano is the perfect protein for making quick meals at home. It is prepared in-house and is one of the most popular items available in the Prepared Foods Department, and it’s easy to see why!

Heinen’s chefs start with Gerber’s CARE Certified chicken breasts and hand-bread them in a combination of panko, garlic, Romano cheese and parsley. They’re then pan-fried and fully cooked, so you only need to reheat them at home.

There are countless ways to incorporate Heinen’s cooked Chicken Romano into meals at home, like serving it atop one of Heinen’s frozen pasta entrees or tucking it into a hearty hot sandwich, as I’m sharing below.

Why You’ll Love These Recipes

  • Minimal Prep. Delicious meals don’t have to require hours in the kitchen. Using cooked Chicken Romano and a handful of additional zero-prep ingredients, you can assemble a meal in minutes, no knife or mixing bowl required.
  • High Quality Ingredients. Developed by Heinen’s chefs and/ or vetted by Heinen’s product experts, you can feel confident in the quality of Heinen’s Prepared Foods, along with their full line of Heinen’s branded products. Heinen’s frozen pasta entrees, pantry staples like pasta sauces and artisan bakery breads pair beautifully with Heinen’s cooked Chicken Romano.
