When it comes to easy breakfasts and snacks, nothing beats a smoothie! Refreshingly chilly and easily customized with a wide assortment of good-for-you ingredients, they’re the perfect drinkable meal or snack to power you through your day!

For those who like their smoothies creamy, consider adding yogurt! Smooth, rich and available in fruity flavors that pair well with virtually any combination of ingredients, stocking up on single-serve yogurt cups is an effortless way to add extra indulgence to the average blended creation.

For this particular recipe, single serve cups of Yoplait strawberry yogurt are combined with Heinen’s frozen strawberries, a frozen banana, milk and honey to create a sweet, sippable treat with nostalgic flavor.

You can certainly use fresh strawberries if you prefer, but if you’re in a pinch and don’t have time to chop and freeze fruit in advance, Heinen’s frozen strawberries are the perfect substitute. Don’t forget to let them thaw for a few minutes before making the smoothie, as this makes it easier to blend.

Made in a matter of minutes with little-to-no prep, use this recipe the next time you have yogurt cups in your fridge that need used!

Heinen's Grocery Store

By Heinen's Grocery Store

In 1929, Joe Heinen opened the doors of a small butcher shop on the east side of Cleveland, Ohio, aiming to establish himself as the city’s purveyor of quality meats. As customers came into Heinen’s new shop for their meat purchases, they began asking him to carry groceries as well. Joe added homemade peanut butter, pickles and donuts and by 1933, business had grown enough to include a line of produce and canned goods. Heinen’s Grocery Store was born.
