Ingredients

  • 8 slices Heinen's crusty bread
  • 8 slices Heinen's hand-selected organic A2 grass fed Havarti cheese
  • 8-12 slices Heinen's CARE Certified bacon, crispy
  • 4 fresh The Peach Truck peaches, pitted and sliced
  • Mayonnaise or room temperature butter

Instructions

  1. Prepare the bacon to your liking. We recommend making it extra crispy!
  2. Spread a thin layer of mayonnaise or room temperature butter on the outside of the bread and add to the griddle.
  3. Assemble the sandwiches by adding the Havarti, 2-3 slices of bacon and sliced peaches to the bread. If you wish, you may lightly griddle the peaches over medium-high heat on each side until browned.
  4. Serve immediately. Enjoy!

In 1929, Joe Heinen opened the doors of a small butcher shop on the east side of Cleveland, Ohio, aiming to establish himself as the city’s purveyor of quality meats. As customers came into Heinen’s new shop for their meat purchases, they began asking him to carry groceries as well. Joe added homemade peanut butter, pickles and donuts and by 1933, business had grown enough to include a line of produce and canned goods. Heinen’s Grocery Store was born.
