Heinen’s rotisserie chicken is a fresh and versatile ingredient when you’re short on time but craving the flavors of a home-cooked meal.

Located in the Deli Department of your local Heinen’s, it makes a great shortcut for entertaining too. While many people simply eat the meat as is or add it to cold lunchtime sandwiches, it has so much more potential.

Kitchen Tip: 3 Ways to Use Heinen’s Rotisserie Chicken

Ingredients

Buffalo Chicken

  • 2 cups Heinen's rotisserie chicken, shredded
  • 8 oz. cream cheese, softened
  • ½ cup buffalo sauce
  • ½ cup ranch dressing
  • ¾ cup Heinen's shredded cheddar cheese

Chicken Salad

  • 3 cups Heinen's rotisserie chicken, chopped
  • ½ yellow onion, peeled and small diced
  • 3 celery ribs, small diced
  • 1 garlic clove, finely minced
  • ¼ cup shaved almonds
  • 1/3 cup mayonnaise
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • Sliced red grapes (optional)

BBQ Chicken Sandwich

  • 2 Tbsp. Heinen's olive oil
  • 1 yellow onion, peeled and small diced
  • 3 garlic cloves, finely minced
  • 4 cups Heinen's rotisserie chicken, shredded
  • 1 cup Two Brothers BBQ sauce

Instructions

Buffalo Chicken Dip

  1. Preheat the oven to 350° F.
  2. Add all of the ingredients to a large bowl and mix until combined and smooth.
  3. Transfer to a casserole dish and bake at 350° F for 20 minutes. Serve with veggies and crackers.

Chicken Salad

  1. Add all of the ingredients to a bowl and mix until combined.
  2. Serve by itself or as a sandwich.

Rotisserie Chicken Salad

BBQ Chicken Sandwich

  1. Add the oil to a large saucepan over medium-low heat and cook the onions and garlic for 5-10 minutes, or until lightly browned.
  2. Stir in the chicken, then mix in the BBQ sauce until coated.
  3. Serve the BBQ chicken by itself or as a sandwich.
