In my eyes, pesto is perfect! It’s versatile to use, savory to eat and packed full of leafy greens that fuel your body. I truly didn’t believe that this bright green sauce/dip could get any better, until now.

Just like the team behind Heinen’s Club Fx, I believe in the benefits that come from loading up on leafy greens, so you’ll always find me filling my cart in Heinen’s Produce Department. But did you know that you can find good-for-you greens outside of produce?

Hidden Veggie Pesto

If you venture over to Heinen’s Wellness Department, you’ll find MacroLife Naturals macro greens powder. A clean supplement designed to help everyone eat their daily dose of healthy greens without actually having to buy them fresh, this greens powder is a true superfood with 38 ingredients that nourish the body at a cellular level. Packed full of antioxidants, co-nutrients, enzymes, vitamins, minerals and amino acids, it’s a tasty, convenient and allergy friendly to increase your greens intake.

Hidden Veggie Pesto on Toast

Most people think that greens powders are best served in smoothies, but I am here to bust that myth because, believe it or not, the “hidden veggie” in this pesto is greens powder. That’s right! Blended together with traditional pesto ingredients, it does not affect the texture, but adds a slight sweetness and, of course, a hefty boost of nutritious goodness!

Hidden Veggie Pesto on Pasta

Tossed with Fx-approved pasta, spread on sprouted bread or served alongside crackers and fresh veggies, it’s never been more delicious to go green with your diet!

Heinen's Grocery Store

By Heinen's Grocery Store

In 1929, Joe Heinen opened the doors of a small butcher shop on the east side of Cleveland, Ohio, aiming to establish himself as the city’s purveyor of quality meats. As customers came into Heinen’s new shop for their meat purchases, they began asking him to carry groceries as well. Joe added homemade peanut butter, pickles and donuts and by 1933, business had grown enough to include a line of produce and canned goods. Heinen’s Grocery Store was born.
